Since my part-time freelance writing is on hiatus, I’ve entertained the thought of bringing back my Gatlinburg travel chat.

You see, last year I started doing a Monday evening #Gatlinburgchat, where I asked a few questions pertaining to Gatlinburg tourism and had people respond using that very same hashtag, so it would be easy to see these responses. I gave it up after a few weeks simply because my evenings—especially on Monday, which is when the chat was held—were spent doing some much-needed writing.

Twitter chats are a great way to connect with some like-minded folks on topics they enjoy. There are tons of them on this social media platform, and I thought with the amount of interest in Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain travel, it would be a great thing to host this kind of conversation.

My first Gatlinburg chat was very successful, and it was almost difficult to respond to every comment, but I really enjoyed it. After a few weeks of low turnout and a busy life to boot, I reluctantly set it aside. Well, now I have a bit more time and an even greater desire to hear from you all again!

I would love to do this on Monday evenings at 7 p.m., but I’m open to trying other nights if this doesn’t work out for my audience. I will probably do another Twitter poll soon (maybe after I write this) to gauge everyone’s availability and appetite for this sort of thing.

Let me know in the comments, or message me on Twitter to put in your 2 cents. I will respond to you as quickly as I can, but please understand that it may not be right away. Click on my Twitter profile here at GatlinburgNOW to follow, comment, or like anything, especially if you love the Smoky Mountains. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing for you!
